How It Works

Create an estimate from property search to customer approval.

EstimateRanger gives contractors a guided workflow for building quotes, using map measurements, sending customer links, scheduling approved work, and moving jobs into invoicing.

New verified accounts can use the in-app tutorial. It walks through the dashboard, estimates, customers, schedule, and a simulated estimate without counting that tutorial estimate as a real customer estimate.

Demo workflow

Step 1

Search the address

Start with the job address so the estimate, customer, services, and measurements stay tied to the correct property.

Step 2

Add a service

Choose a job type and saved service, or add a custom line item for one-time expenses or charges.

Step 3

Measure on the map

Use square-foot measuring for areas or linear-foot measuring for fences, edging, gutters, and path-based work.

Step 4

Review totals

Check services, descriptions, quantities, rates, totals, taxes, discounts, fees, deposits, and customer notes.

Step 5

Send for approval

Share a customer estimate link by email, text, Gmail, or copy link. Customers can accept, decline, or ask questions.

Step 6

Schedule and invoice

Schedule accepted work, mark jobs completed, log job time, and create an online invoice with Pro.

What the customer sees

The customer-facing estimate page shows the business details, job address, services, pricing details if enabled, notes, totals, and action buttons. If agreement signing is turned on, the customer must view and sign the agreement before accepting.

What the business tracks

Inside the app, estimates can be opened, edited, deleted, advanced through the workflow, scheduled, marked completed, invoiced, and marked paid. The dashboard summarizes sales, revenue, scheduled jobs, services, customers, and items needing action.
